The first hoody

Developers Unite

In the ever-evolving world of graphic design, our team had the fantastic opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic group of developers and engineers who were part of various teams within a large organization. Our mission was clear: to craft a series of hoodies that would not only keep them cozy but also unite them under a common banner – the DX & Cloud foundation.

An ode to a classic

Re-Design idea number 1

After a very successful project the positive responses regarding the hoodies were out of this world. So a round 2 was ordered, but this time the creativity was unleashed, and a challenge was created. The hoodies should represent Developers more, and off course the same foundation. So in my first attempt, I tried to cater to the often found nerdy side of the developer. So a mix between gaming and our foundation, and off course the LEGO Group. So I created a design where you see Lego bricks falling forming the name DX & Cloud Foundation, combining both our company, organization and gaming into 1 awesome design.

Idea number 2

Storytelling always

For my second approach to a new hoody design, I decided it was time to have a good look at the user of the hoody. The developer, an often misunderstood creature of habit, with a heavy coffee addiction, hiding behind a screen, and 0 people skills. After 8 months of being surrounded by these amazing creatures, I can tell you they are far from any of these things, and I wanted to put them center in the storytelling.

Idea number 3

Keep it simple

Another approach to a possible hoody design was to keep it simple, purely basics. We work for the most awesome organization within the LEGO Group, the DX & Cloud organization. And I love it!

Ok
just 1 more then

Once that creative process is flowing, it is hard to stop that waterfall. I wanted a very colorful and fun approach as well. Lego is superfun, and colorful, so I needed to go all out with 1 design. I have chosen a traditional Lego color palette, based on the core colors. Red and yellow. Just like the logo. And a flat design approach is just awesome when it comes to people who work with digital design. It´s very versatile.
